Moved my WordPress site to a new server and had a difficult time installing my backup sql database

The size of my database.sql is 190MB, to large to send up to the new sql server on Godaddy.com which has a 8MB limit before it times out. I needed to split the file into smaller pieces. My desktop is a Mac OSX system and the few apps for splitting sql flies are to expensive for my wallet. Googling for answers some suggested since the SQL files are actually just a text file, the file could be split in a text editor. Shopping in the Mac Apple Store I found an app called Text File Splitter by Noel Geren. This app wouldn’t notice the database.sql so I changed the extension to database.txt Text File Splitter open the file. Set the app to split the file every 5000 rows, check include header, check include footer, and slick split. App popped out 245 text files. Change the .txt file extensions to .sql . Uploaded the the files one by one to a newly create blank younameit.sql. It worked, it worked. All is well with newly moved wordpress blog. Best $1.99 spent.
