Yamazaki Rare 1980s Chefs Knife Sculptural Handle Yamaco Japan Phila Art Museum
Vintage artistic chef's knife was purchased from the Philadelphia Art Museum shop in the 1980's. The gray and lavender handle is beautiful, sculptural, and ergonomic. It is 11-3/16" long. The stainless steel blade is 6.5" long. Yamazaki, makers of cutlery and flatware since 1918, established Yamaco in 1981. The knife blade is marked Yamaco Stainless Steel Japan. I have never put it in the dishwasher. Some scratches on blade from drawer storage but it has been well cared for and is in very good condition. Yamazaki has won many design awards over the years. This knife is a rare beauty.
