Rainbow Art Glass Co Saphire Blue Swan Vintage 1954-83 Hand Blown Huntington WV

Saphire blue glass swan was hand blown by the Rainbow Art Glass Company in Huntington, West Virginia. It no longer has the paper label, but it is a form and color known to be made by Rainbow. It is in very good condition with the only sign of use being a very tiny pin head sized nick in one side which is hardly noticeable. The swan is 3-3/4" long x 2-1/4" high.

Rainbow made art glass from 1954 through 1973 when they were purchased by Viking and operated as a subsidiary, and ceased glass making altogether when the factory burned in 1983.
