Wm Rogers Silver Plate Flatware w Box Serves 10 T Mono
Here is a vintage set (circa 1930s- 40's) of silver plated flatware made by William Rogers. It is marked Wm Rogers Mfg Co Extra Plate. There are 47 pieces, enough for 10 place settings... and if you could find 2 more teaspoons in this pattern, there would be service for 12. Pieces are as follows:
- 12 knives - 8-5/16" - blades are stainless and so marked
- 12 forks - 7-5/8"
- 12 soup spoons - 7-1/8"
- 10 teaspoons - 6-1/8"
- 1 sugar spoon - 5-7/8"
The set came in a wooden box lined with red felt. It has one drawer. It is included with the set. The pattern shows a strand of small dangling lilies or bell flowers. I don't know the name of it. All pieces are monogrammed with a stylized T. They are as they came from an estate sale. I have not polished them. They show brush marks on the surface from cleaning but there are only a few small spots of plating loss and I would say they are in good vintage condition.
