Marboux Marcel Boucher Necklace Signed Numbered Vintage

Here is a vintage necklace signed Marboux which was designed and made by Marcel Boucher. It is numbered 583. It measures 7/8" wide x 17.5" long. I purchased it from the contents sale of a ladies clothing & accessory shop when the owner retired a long time ago. It was never sold, never worn, and is still in as close to mint condition as I have seen. The silvery finish is very shiny and the black accents in the recessed lines are all intact. It has been in my collection ever since. I never wore my collection... just kept it in drawers and boxes and admired it from time to time.

A little info: The Marboux line was first registered in 1937, but according to his wife Sandra, also a designer, it was no longer being produced when she joined the firm in 1949. She also said the name Marboux was renewed again in 1957 to prevent it from being used by others. This registration expired in 1977. In 1956, Boucher stopped polishing the backs of the pieces around the number to save on production costs. The back of this necklace is very shiny around the number so was probably made before 1956. Boucher died in 1964. Sandra kept the business going until 1970.
