Eames Era 3 50s Splatter Pottery Boomerang Heart Amoeba Eames Era
Here are 3 pieces of pottery with typical 1950's glazes:
All are in very good condition with exceptions noted. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. They may have been originally intended as ashtrays but they still would make great accent pieces... nice for desk or bureau catch-all or for serving small amounts of things like olives, nuts, sushi or dipping sauces... the indents are perfect for chop stick rests... and the amoeba would make a great celery dish! All were purchased from various estate sales many years ago.
- a pink & brown boomerang with trailed white string-like drizzles - sides measure about 6" x 6" x 5" and 2" high. About 6 pin point raised dots in the glaze occurred during the manufacturing. Remnant of felting on foot.
- a white stylized heart shape with hand painted golden fireworks bursts - 8" x 6.5" x 2" high. Made by Plymouth Products Co. Philadelphia 31 Pa. No 75A. 3 cushion dots remain on underside. Some wear to gold in very center of dish.
- an elongated amoeba with black lines and splattered dots - 10" x about 4.5". Also made by Plymouth Products of Phila.
