Metropolitan Museum of Art Pin Replica of Mayan Pre Columbian Llama Burro Donkey
This vintage pin is a replica of an ancient artifact. It was commissioned and sold by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City which is the signature stamp on the back and in whose collection the original probably is.
- I purchased it many years ago at an estate sale so don't have all the information about what it represents. The animal could be a burro, donkey or llama.
- The style of the piece appears to be ancient South American... possibly Mayan, Aztec, or Pre-Columbian.
- Silver colored metal probably pewter.
- It measures 1.75" high x 2" wide.
- Very good condition.
