I purchased this pretty Victorian style cameo locket about 20 years ago at an estate sale. I never wore it, but the original owner did. It was probably made in the 60's or 70's. It has a spot inside for one photograph with a little metal picture frame surround and a sheet of acetate to hold your photo in place. To get the photo in the frame, you can flip the frame out with a nail file at the little opening next to the hinge. There are marks that look as if the cameo was carved although it could have been cast with those marks in it. It feels cold to the touch like shell or glass, not warm like plastic. I'm not an expert at cameos so please ask me if you have questions. The cameo is bezel set into the locket. The gold wash is worn on the back where it would have rubbed against clothes or skin. It's in very good condition otherwise. The chain is silver color and is 19" long. The locket is 1-1/2" x 1-1/4".

Here are 2 golden jewels with an Egyptian theme. Both were purchased from estate sales.

• The pin shows 2 Egyptian rulers... a Pharoah, maybe King Tut, a Queen, maybe Cleopatra, each with an eye symbol above them which represents the eye of the Egyptian Falcon God Horus. It's 2-3/8" high x 1.5" wide. It's in excellent condition.
• This tablet pendant with heiroglyphic symbols is marked Avon. It's 2" long. Chain is 22" long. There are a group of tiny orange dots in the plating. It's in good condition otherwise.

Here are 2 modernist 1950's enamel on copper disc-shaped pendants. One is large (2-5/8" diameter) with white on black abstract design, hanging from a white plastic loop chain (the type typically used on forties bakelite cherry necklaces, etc). Triple loop links. Big spring ring closure. Back is also enameled in a speckled yellowish/green/black. You can see 3 tiny dots evenly spaced at the back edge where it sat on a 3-pronged stilt to prevent it from sticking to the kiln shelf. On the front there are a few tiny pin point spots where the copper is showing. They might be miniscule chips or places where the enamel didn't cover.

The 2nd pendant features a silhouette dancer figure surrounded by 6 raised white balls. Colors are red, black and white. Back is yellow and has chipped away near opening where hanging device has rubbed against it. There is one pin head sized pin hole in the yellow backing enamel which probably occurred during the making. This one has no chain. 1-7/8" in diameter. Both are basically in good condition with the exceptions noted. Purchased at 2 different estate sales.

Here are 2 pretty silver and purple jewels. Both look like amethyst and marcasites set in silver but I believe that the marcasites are actually studs or hobs cast in the metal to look that way. The purple "stones" are probably glass. There are no marks as to metal content but neither appears to be actual silver. The pendant is unmarked. It's 1.75" long. Very nice multi-linked chain is 25" long. The ring has a darker purple square "stone" in the center with a lighter pinkish "stone" on either side. It is size 7.25 and marked Avon. There is a tiny bit of plating loss on one corner near the square stone. It's in very good condition otherwise as is the necklace. Both were purchased from estate sales.

Whimsical 1960's vintage black plastic fish pendant is attached to a silvery metal piece set with rhinestones which forms his backbone, eye and smile. This lot is for 2 sterling silver heart pendants, both on necklace chains. One is vintage rhinestone (1" long) stamped STERLING on back of setting with 17" chain. The other is newer, set with marcasites and a dangling little amethyst heart in the center, stamped 925 on back of heart and CW on inside of marcasite hanger. It has a 16" chain. I purchased this wonderful pendant from an Oriental antique shop about 35 years ago. I was told by the shop owner that it was jade. The colors are mottled, a deep mossy green with a bit of rusty orangy brown color. It has a different Chinese character carved into each side. 1-7/8" diameter x 3/16" thick. The woven cord that was with it originally eventually disintegrated and I replaced it with a chain which is 24" long. It is in very good condition.

Here's a pretty crystal pendant with a pair of lovebirds on a leafy branch reverse cut into the glass. Faceted edges on the octagonal shape make prismatic rainbows. 1.75" high x 1.75" wide. Comes in original blue velvety box with Little Gallery in the lid. Silver colored metal chain is 22.5" long. Info card below says it is made of Austrian lead crystal expressly for the Little Gallery. A wonderful coral color flower pendant hangs from the flexible metal choker ring of this Monet necklace. Set in an antiqued goldtone surround with 2 leaves at the top, it has been made to resemble a jewel from the past. The flower is really nice with variations in color that make it look like carved coral or stone but it's not. Pendant is 1.75" long (from top of lug) x 1-3/8" wide. Whimsical crescent moon face pewter pendant necklace was made by Kramer. It still has original Kramer hang tag along with a PEWTER paper label (slightly peeling) affixed to the pendant loop. Moon is 2-5/8" long. Chain is 20.5" long. I purchased it from an estate sale about 20 years ago. I guess the original owner never wore it (unless she was into the Minnie Pearl, keep the tags on look). It has been in my collection since then. I've never worn it either. There's a slight grayish cast to the surface of the pewter... maybe oxidation or age. I didn't try to polish it. It's in very good condtion.

This wonderful vintage pendant appears to be part panther, part snake... with upper body looking very cat-like and lower portion looking like a big tail. Two dangling hinged sections hang from the upper one. Gold tone metal inset with cabochon "gems" (probably glass). Panther is 4.5" long x 1-5/8" at claws. Chain is 20" long. Very slight wear to goldtone on tips of ears, knuckles of middle toes, nose. It's in very good condition otherwise. Purchased from an estate sale many years ago. It looks very much like a designer piece to me, unique and bold, but there are no marks to identify the maker.

Here's a vintage parure consisting of pin, necklace and earrings. Silver colored metal roses with large faux (not real) pearls in the center. Pin measures 2" x 1-7/8". Here are 3 exotic jewelry items with a tropical or jungle theme. I purchased 2 of them from a little hippie boutique at the Jersey shore in the late 1960's:

• African or tiki god pendant is made of metal with a black finish. Figure is 2-3/8" long. Chain is 24" long. Black finish is worn on front of earrings. In very good condition.
• Black ring was sold as being made from the hair of an elephant's tail... I don't know if this is true. Whatever the material, it is joined at both ends with a piece of metal. Size 7. Very good condition.

The 3rd item is a large 1940's or 50's charm with an African or cannibal head on a drum shaped slice of bakelite. I bought it from an estate sale about 20 years ago. I've added a chain so it can be worn as a pendant. The charm is 1-3/8" long. The chain is 19" long. It's in very good condition. Tests positive for bakelite.

This vintage necklace features a huge wiggling turtle pendant. The legs and head are 2 separate pieces connected to each other and the shell so that they sway and jiggle back and forth so that he looks like he is crawling.
