Wonderful vintage art glass paperweight has a dense spiral of controlled bubbles incased within and one larger bubble suspended just below the top. One a smooth surface, you can spin the ball and watch the spiral moving. It's a great optical piece, changing it's appearance depending on how and where you look at it, or through it. The light coming through it makes great reflected patterns of light and shadow. 3" diameter. 2.5" high. Ground glass base. No signature. There is a small circular mark about a quarter inch from the base that looks like tiny cracks inside the glass. It's not that easily seen as it's below the outermost curve when looking at it from anywhere except below. It's in very good condition otherwise. Purchased from an estate sale about 25 years ago.

Stylized miniature sculpture of a scotty dog is very heavy for its size and would serve quite well as a paperweight although it would be just as cute on a shelf with a collection of dog figurines. 1.75" high x 2.5" long. Made of brass or bronze. Semi-matt finish has worn in a few small spots showing shiny metal below. There are also some areas that have darkened over the years. Beautiful handblown art glass paperweight has a magical world of shape and color encased in a clear glass "sky". Blue & green ocean swirls into being with small red-orange coral reef forming underneath and a trail of tiny bubbles rises off the top peak into the sky as this world comes into being. 2.5" diameter. Solid glass. Ground base. This is similar in style and feeling to Josh Simpson's Worlds. This was not made by Josh Simpson. There is no signature on this piece. It was made by a contemporary glass artist who remains unknown to us because we purchased it from an estate auction and had no way to find out the name of the maker. In extremely good condition.

Wonderful modern silverplate lioness sculpture was designed by Gunnar Cyren for Dansk. It comes in the original black box with information folder showing pictures of all 11 of this great looking stylized animal series. It would make a great paperweight as it is solid metal and quite heavy for it's size. 1-3/8" high. Marked and felted base. Will go well with fifties and sixties modern environments... the Eames Era and Danish Modern. A couple of white marks on lower right lid of box. Lioness is in very good condition.

Great looking figural paperweight is shaped like a 3 dimensional question mark. It still retains enough of the paper label to know that it was made in Italy. 5-3/8" long. Solid metal. Very heavy for the size. Probably brass or bronze with a chrome plating. You can see grinder marks on the inside curve where the manufacturer cleaned up the casting and then it was plated over top. Slight deviation from the curve along top thin edge left of center top. A group of short indents (digs or scratches) along top edge aren't real deep or distracting. This would be the back if you were sitting at a desk with the ? in this position. Previously owned. Purchased from an estate sale.

Elegant Orrefors desk piece is signed in the glass and also has the original red paper label that reads: Orrefors Sweden. The solid heavy faceted glass serves as both paperweight and pen stand. The slim silver colored metal pen is intact and working... just turn it to make the point appear. Total height is 9.5". Glass is 2.5" high x 3.75" diameter. There are 3 little clear jelly dot desk protectors on the underside which I believe were added by the previous owner and could be removed. Purchased from an estate sale. In excellent condition.

This wonderful antique glass magnifier paperweight is unique. I've seen a group of these magnifier paperweights over the years... they come in various shapes and sizes, some have souvenir photos or postcards mounted behind them, but I've never seen one as fancy as this. The large bubble magnifier is surrounded by a pressed glass six sided star border. The points are about 1/2" thick with faceted edges. The deeply indented patterns under the points are accented with white and gold enamel or cold paint. Pat Appd For (Patent Applied For) appears in the glass on underside in raised letters. It's 1.75" high and approximately 6" in diameter. It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Purchased from an estate sale.

This unusual vintage paperweight came from the estate of a judge. It's a miniature figural law book. The cover shows West's Key Number System logo and reads: West's New Jersey Digest Covering all State and Federal Authorities Soney and Sage Co. 744 Broad St. Newark, N.J. The spine indicates this volume covers Carriers to Contracts. 4-1/8" x 3-1/8" x 3/4" thick. Very heavy for its size. Some wear to spine ends and corners... just like on a real book. In good vintage condition otherwise.

This beautiful vintage paperweight looks like cherry blossoms in the middle of an early spring snow. It's very artistic. Original label remains on the underside but the company name has worn away. Odd vintage set from Wheaton Glass Company was found in its badly tattered original box. It contained 2 advertising pieces, a paperweight and an ashtray. Both read: Glass WHEATON Since 1888. The ashtray (5" x 1.25") looks like the depression glass pattern, Manhattan, with a red plastic basketweave piece underneath providing a non-skin surface. The paperweight (2-5/8" x 3/4") has a black fired on platonite type underside. There is also a pair of salt & pepper shakers (2.5") with black and white plastic shaker top inserts and plastic covering caps so they can go to picnics with you. The only evidence of use is that the interior of the salt shaker has been affected by the salt. It has a whitish haze that didn't wash out with soap and water. Everything else is in excellent condition except the box (as previously stated).
