Clock Stainless Steel Advertising Clock Machine Age Vintage

This wonderful vintage wall clock is sleek and ultra modern... advertising for a new machine age product... stainless steel. The red, black, white, gray, and navy blue face reads: Stainless Sales Corporation New York - Chicago - Newark STAINLESS STEELS. Domed glass. 18" in diameter. Sides are 3.75" deep. Dome of glass is about 1.5" high. Structure of clock is mottled gray enamel on metal. Synchron works. Built by Lackner, Cinncinati, Ohio. Last patent on the clock mechanism is 2298373 (1942). The clock is in working order. It keeps good time and is quiet. There is no easy way to set the time. There's a little hole at the bottom right of the mechanism where there must have been a knob and gear to set the time but it is missing. You can turn that gear at the bottom right with your hand but it's difficult. The easiest thing is to wait until the time is the same as what the clock face says and plug it in. That's what we did. Inside under the glass has some dirt but it could be taken apart and cleaned by removing the outer ring. Purchased from an estate sale many years ago.
