Thermometer 1920's Parrot Thermometer Ad Tumble Inn Indian Mills NJ

Here's a great looking 1920's Art Deco advertising thermometer... "Just a Little Thank You" from the Tumble Inn, Atco and Medford Roads in Indian Mills, New Jersey. The glass is a reverse painted and mirrored frame with metal corners as was the style at the time. Windows in the glass let the cockatoo parrot print, the thermometer, and the advertising show through from behind. 8" x 6". Cardboard backing similar to the frames of the era has 2 openings at the top so it can be hung and a grommet at the lower edge suggests that it probably had a calendar attached below it at one time. There are 4 spots where the black paint has been compromised... one on either side of the Tumble Inn window look white; one at top right corner and one at bottom left corner are dark gray and not as noticeable. Some variation in the mirrored area but not cracked or missing. It's a great looking piece... especially wonderful if you collect parrots, Deco, or old advertising from your neck of the woods.24s7
