1 Pair Cast Silvery Metal Rooster Sculptures 10.5" FigureHere is a pair of cast metal rooster sculptures. They have a silvered patina with red rhinestone eyes. They are each 10.5" high and 7.5" long from beak to end of tail. Each one weighs 5 lbs and they aren't made of aluminum. One has some residue of silver polish in the crevices from the former owner's cleaning efforts which I haven't tried to wash away. The other has a crack in the uppermost tail feather. Capitol Bldg Washington DC Figural Victorian JEWEL BOXThis vintage souvenir is a figural jewel box with a replica of the Capitol Building in Washington DC on the lid. Cushioned cotton interior is covered with slightly frayed salmon colored silk cloth and cord. Scenes of Washington decorated the sides of the box. Pewter type metal is mostly black but must have had a silver colored paint or plating at one time as there are remnants of that left. Still an attractive piece for use or display with other miniature souvenir buildings. Probably made in the early years of the 20th century. In good condition with exceptions noted. 3.5" high. 4.5" x 3" at feet.

Ceremonial Scepter Wand Blessing Rattle Gothic Holy OldWe've had this unusual old item in our collection of treasures for many years and I still don't know what it is. It's made of white metal. It rattles when you shake it. It looks like a scepter, wand, holy water sprinkler but no holes... a ceremonial, mystical, magical, something. It won't turn my frog into a prince but it hasn't conjured up any demons as of yet. There are no promises or guarantees except that we will deliver promptly if you win the bid! :-) If you know what it is, please share... we'd love to know before parting with it. 7.5" long. Two bumped corners look silvery. In good condition. Purchased from an estate sale.

Deco NUART SCOTTY DOG TRAY Desk Caddy Sculpture Nu ArtWonderful Art Deco era scotty dog sculpture was made by NuArt Creations of New York City and is so marked in the center of the indentation in front of the scotties. A scotty dog craze began in the 1930's and continued well into the 40's with the public's admiration for President Franklin D. Roosevelt's beloved scotty, Fala. This sculpture may have been intended for use as an ashtray or calling card holder. Today it would make an excellent trinket tray on the bureau for rings, watches, etc. or a good desk caddy for paper clips, thumbs tacks, and the like. Amber glass insert has about 4 or 5 tiny flakes along the top edge but all else is in very good condition. Scotties are 5" high, 6-5/8" front to back, 4-3/4" at the widest. Glass insert is 4" in diameter.

Doorstop Bronze Sculpture Golf Bags Clubs Joe PhillipsThis bronze scuplture (or brass with bronzed patina) features 2 golf bags with clubs, one large pro bag with handle, the other smaller with no handle, both sitting on a base shaped like a green. 8.75" high. Base is 5" x 4.25". It's very heavy. Felted base. The 2 bags may have been connected at one time at a tiny place where the clubs come together and almost touch. There's a small straight line gap there. It isn't visually distracting but I'm mentioning to be thorough.
We purchased it from the estate of Joe Phillips, popular Wilson Sporting Goods figure for more than 50 years, who died at the age of 77, on March 20th, 2006. The family used it as a doorstop. On-line information about him says: "As vice-president of golf promotions, Phillips' responsibilities included negotiating and signing golf professionals on both the PGA and LPGA tours as well as researching and developing new club designs, including Wilson's JP wedge series. The list of touring professionals Phillips worked with reads like a virtual who's who of golf, including Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson and Patty Berg. A native of Philadelphia and an accomplished saxophonist, Phillips attended Granoff School of Music. He is a past president of Golf Manufacturers and Distributors Association, and former chairman of the National Golf Foundation. In 1984 Wilson Sporting Goods established the Joe Phillips Cup in his honor, with Sarazen the first recipient." Most of his golf related items were donated to the PGA.

Frankart Arrogant Lady Head Vintage Art Deco SculptureThis haughty lady with nose in the air, closed eyes, and raised shoulder is a metal Art Deco era sculpture by Frankart. This piece is not signed but those of you familiar with Frankart works will recognize it. It was produced in several versions on various bases and usually the base was signed. This one is not longer attached to a base and has seen better days. She has 2 long cracks starting from the base, a small crack in a thin spot in the casting where raised shoulder meets the neck, a hole in the shoulder, and a number of oxidized spots covering her shoulders. Her face is still beautiful and she is in good condition from the neck up. Maybe you are a wizzard with tools, epoxy resins, body putty, etc. and could restore her to her former beauty. Maybe you would enjoy looking at her even though she is imperfect. 4.5" high x 5.25" shoulder to shoulder x 3" deep. Purchased from an estate sale many years ago.

Lady Dancer Tamborine Sculpture Duncan Era 1920's GyspyHere's a vintage 1920's era metal sculpture of a female dancer with a tamborine. She's dressed in a old style playsuit with bloomer legs, like uniforms worn for excercising when rhythmic motion was considered to be modern and healthy, possibly influenced by Isadora Duncan. She's 11.25" high x 2.5" diameter at base. She will stand on her own but moves slightly as the base is not perfectly level. I think she may have been mounted on a base at one time. There are no maker's marks that I can find. White metal. Brown paint is worn and peeling. She would be beautiful if someone took the time to strip and re-paint her. Her face is very pretty and she's an unusual subject, different from other lady figures of this era. Except for the paint, she's in very good condition. Purchased from an estate sale.

It has raised floral gingerbread type of designs, painted bird, leaves and border, lid to cover matches, and ridges on ends and underside of box which I think must be grids for striking the match. 4.25" high x 3-3/8" wide x 1-3/8" deep. Toothpick Holder Mouse in Boot Figural Bronze Toothpick Holder VintageUnusual figural bronze toothpick holder is an old boot with a mouse coming out of a hole. At first, I just thought it was a weird bump on the boot... but when held with toe up a mouse head can be seen on the left side... nose pointing toward the opening. There's a 2nd bump on the same side at top of boot near opening but I can't see a figure in it. Just above the heel on the same side are some numbers which are hard to make out. The last 2 look like 47 but the rest aren't clear... part of a date?... 1947? 1.5" high. 3" long. Pale greenish patina in crevices and inside. Purchased from an estate sale many years ago. In very good condition.
