Great looking vintage rhinestone belt is 3 different shades of blue rhinestones all prong set on a wrapped metal semi-flexible belt. Divided into sections of 3 different colors, 3 rhinestones wide. There are 2 hooks and 2 loops that let the front ends criss-cross on top of each other. One rhinestone is missing in the light color section in the front where the darker section goes on top of it. The width is 1/2". Total length unstretched is 32.5". With overlap, the waist size is 26.5". There is some overall give and stretchy quality to the way the metal is constructed... a 10" section unstretched measures 11" easily when stretched and will stretch even further up to 11.5" if pulled hard... which means there's probably about a 2.5" comfortable increase to the 26.5" unstretched waist size for a 29" largest waist comfortable size. In very good condition with exception noted.

Here's a vintage belt by Florenza with large link triple chains connecting each of the fancy ornaments... flower and filagree settings with with large glass cabochon gems designed to resemble semi-precious stones. Each gem ornament is signed: Florenza. It will encircle a waist or hips from 27"to 36", the difference being the length of the single chain which can hang down as an ornament or be used to the fullest length. I've noticed a couple of greenish spots on the chain but it's in very good condition otherwise.

Here's a fun and glitzy 1960's item... I think it's probably a belt, meant to be worn at the hips... but it would also be a great looking necklace. Big 7/8" diameter faceted amber glass "stones" are linked together, enclosed in a bezel wire that also forms loop links at each end. It's about 40" long. One end has a big spring ring fastener. Wonderful geometric Art Deco style 2-tone face ornament is made of pearlescent celluloid. It has a celluloid loop on the back and, I believe, is meant to function as a scarf clasp by sliding the 2 scarf ends through it. The wonderful dress clip pin is made of alternating stripes of black bakelite and rosewood. It was rescued from the basement storage area of an old dress shop in New York City when the building was demolished many years ago. They are old stock, never sold and never used (NOS-new old stock). Beautiful 1940's signed Coro demi-parure includes a golden, slightly stretchy, hollow snake style choker necklace with green & clear rhinestone star slide ornament with matching earrings. Wonderful pair of modernist style leaf clips are signed by the designer, Ben Meltzer Inc New York. They were old stock, never used, and never sold... rescued from the basement storage of a 1930's-40's New York City dress shop when the building was demolished in the 1980's. This style of pin (called dress clips) was popular in the 30's and 40's, always worn in pairs, sometimes on pockets, collars and belts... often worn, I have been told, to clip a V-neckline to both bra straps, forming a 4 sided, partially curved neckline they called "a sweetheart neckline." The metal is silver in color with black patina in the crevices to highlight the design. Both have a brownish oxidation on the backs. The clips are toothed and the springs are tight. They are in very good condition. 2-1/8" x 1.25".

Here are 3 celluloid and rhinestone hat or clothing ornaments from the 1930's. All were rescued from the basement storage of a dress shop in New York City when the building was demolished many years ago. I purchased boxes of old fashion industry embellishments from that building (buttons, buckles, sew-on ornaments, etc). They are old stock, never sold and never used, although some have suffered a little from aging and exposure to dampness, air, etc. These 3 are as follows:

• Long black U shape is set with rhinestones with 2 dark blue hand painted dots between each one. 4.75" long. Curved to fit the curve of a hat with 3 small openings (1 at bottom of U, 1 at each end) for sewing through. I suspect the black was painted on also as there are 3 or 4 little dots near the tip of one leg that look white. It's in very good condition.
• Green curly ended ornament has inset rhinestones and incised ivory colored lines which says the green color is on the surface. 2.25" x 1.5". This one has no pierced openings to sew through as I imagine they could sew over the center bars. It too is curved to fit against the crown of a curved hat. Slight yellowing to one of the curled ends. It's in very good condition otherwise.
• Burgundy colored A shape has inset rhinestones and incised white lines indicting that the color was applied to the surface. If you look closely you'll see that the edges have been beveled by hand filing and then the color applied over top of that work. Three sew through openings... 1 at each corner. 1-7/8" x 1-7/8". It's in very good condition.

Here are 2 vintage hat or hair ornaments.

• 1940's era black faceted celluloid pencil shape has a dark blue cord wrapped end with brass moon shaped ornament enclosed in the center. 8" long. Celluloid and moon are in very good condition. Shiny coating on the blue cording is worn in spots. The circle end moves a bit more than I think was originally intended. It's an unusual piece.
• Pressed brass feather on rippled stem has been colored in shades of purple/burgundy/rose. 6" long. Feather is 2.25" wide. When looking closely it appears that there were a few flakes in the finish that a previous owner has touched up or painted over but those spots aren't very noticeable. It's in very good condition.

Both were purchased from estate sales about 20 or more years ago.

Vintage lucite magnifier is great for the phone book and all that fine print on packages that's impossible to see. The rhinestone leopard handle makes it as good looking as a piece of jewelry though... and I've actually kept it in the drawer with all my "big cat" pins. The goldtone metal leopard has inset crystal and black rhinestones and is signed; GRUBER on the underside. He sits atop one end of a 5" long half circle magnifying rod which is also marked: Western Germany. Leopard moves a bit on the rod but I'm sure it could always be glued back onto the rod should they come apart in the future. There are light scratches/abrasions... nothing deep... in the lucite, probably from cleaning. You can see it when held to light, but it doesn't seem to interfere with reading through it. In good condition with exceptions noted. Orinally purchased from an estate sale. Has been in my collection for about 20 years.

These 2 wonderful beaded bird hat ornaments have been in my collection of jewels and accessories for about 30 years. They are made with glass beads... faceted metallic black tube beads and black seed beads. They each have 2 glass eyes and black beaks which feel as cold as the glass so I think the beaks are probably metal and not plastic which would feel warmer than glass. They're 9" long x 1.5" wide. They were old store stock, tied together with ancient string and tag with description and stock number when I bought them from an antique store way back then. They're slightly dusty in the crevices, 2 or 3 beads are missing towards the tip of one of the tails, but they're in very good condition otherwise. They've been stored in my display cabinet and have never been used. They are definitely unique. I've never seen any others like them.

Handsome antique stick pin for tie, hat or lapel, is gold color metal set with a red gem surrounded by tiny pearls. It is not marked as to metal content. The back is open to allow light to pass through the red gem. Nib is marked: Protector. We purchased it many years ago from an estate sale in this presentation box. Box appears to be metal covered with green leatherette. It's lined with pale yellow satin and green velvet. Bottom of box is marked: Parrington Box ?? Pat. Here's a wonderful 1940's vintage tie clasp set with a domed glass intaglio "gem" with the face of a horse. An intaglio is like a reverse cameo, the shape is carved inward, in this case from the back, and painted from the back. The intaglio is bezel set and soldered to the tie clasp. The solder is a large blob which may be an old repair. Back of clasp is marked: GFD 10K (10 karat gold filled). The bezel and back of intaglio look silvery in color, not gold. Clasp is 2" long. Intaglio is 1/2" in diameter. There's a short scratch on the glass surface above the horse's cheek but the condition is quite good otherwise. Purchased from an estate sale.

1950's vintage tie clip features a nude posed in that famous Marilyn Monroe pose. The metal is goldtone. The nude is reverse painting on molded lucite. The paint (on the back) has worn and crackled with age. With the bare eye, it looks like bubbles in the black background but through a magnifier, you can see where it has crackled and changed color somewhat. It looks worse in the large photos because of the exaggerated size. The damage doesn't appear as bad when viewed at actual size. Rectangle with nude is 7/8" high x 5/8" wide. Width of clip is 1-5/8". Metal is in very good condition.
