Here are 2 whimsical glass containers made by Lauschaer of Germany. They were purchased at the Philadelphia Art Museum Store and are still in the original boxes. Mark on side of box is GKL Glass.Kunst.Lauscha.Seit1597. There is information online but all in German. One is a stoppered egg shape with red bird legs and tiny hole at other end (2.75" high). The companion is open on pedestal with blue tail or beak... depending on how you look at things (3.5" high). We think they are probably the world's most unusual salt and pepper set. They were a gift that was never used and are in excellent condition.

Great looking, and feeling, modern hand made glass carafe from Blenko still has the original label that reads: BLENKO Handmade with a big B logo. It has that wonderful 1960's Danish Modern look... flat broad shape with circular indents in the center for ease of handling. The double spout allows you to pour from either side, whether you're right or left handed. 8" x 6.5" x 3-1/8". There are 3 air bubbles that occurred during the manufacturing: 1 is trapped in the glass; 2 have been popped on the outer surface. You can feel them but they've been smoothed. I don't find them distracting... just evidence of the unique quality of the handmade object. It's in very good condition. Purchased from an estate sale.

Here are 2 pretty pieces of glass.

• Pink blown glass flower shaped bowl could be for a candle or could be an open bowl vase for flower blossoms or one large bloom. Pink and white swirl petals cased in clear. Ground base. It measures about 2" high. Opening is about 2.5" diameter. The measurement across the top including the petals varies between 5.5" and 6". It's in excellent condition.
• Purple vintage glass is probably a toothpick holder. Toothpicks fit in it perfectly. But it would also make a nice vase for small flowers. Swirling S and dot designs seem to allude to the ocean or waves. Top edge is scalloped with zig zags. About 2.25" high x 1-7/8" diameter. Hexagonal flower star in base. There's a flake next to the mold line. It's in very good condition otherwise.

Great looking pair of heavy faceted crystal glass candlesticks have 3 candle stems or lites, branching out from the same point in the base in trident form. Neat visual effects can be seen through the facets with some prism effects in sunlight. They're 10.25" high. The base is 3-5/8" side to side and 4" point to point. They were purchased about 10 years ago to be given by a group as a presentation gift to one of their members. Never used. In excellent condition.

Beautiful sixties modern pedestaled compote bowl is green glass with snowflakes and clear glass foot. 5-5/8" high x 7" diameter at rim. There are about 4 tiny bubbles in the glass... one is at the surface and the thin layer of glass over it has broken. It's very small and right on one of the snowflakes making it not very obvious. Here are 2 vintage handblown (sometimes called off-hand) pieces of crackle glass. One is a handblown mini jug, made by Pilgrim Glass, with the original silver and black paper label. It's amber in color with applied clear glass handle and rough pontil mark. 4" high. The second is a yellow creamer with applied handle, flared rim and tooled spout. 3.5" high. Both are in very good condition, with no chips, and no cracks except those intended :-)

Here are 2 hand blown crackle glass creamer sized pitchers from the 1960's with applied handles and rough pontil marks. The pitcher with the closed neck (3.75" tall) is ruby red with a yellow handle. The open neck one (3.5" tall) has an amberina pattern starting with light orange at the bottom turning to red at the top with a yellow handle. They were probably made by Viking or Pilgrim, both companies being known for this type of glassware. They are both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Here are 2 vintage Danish Modern heavy glass serving bowls... a large one for salad and a smaller one for sauce, gravy, veggies. Hand worked art glass style with forming rings in heavy base; thinner walls, applied handle on small bowl. The color is more to the warm side of smoke with a hint of olive brown. Large bowl is 9.75" wide at flared out base and 3.75" high. Small bowl is 4-7/8" wide at flared out base and 2-5/8" high. Large bowl has a 3 or 4 scratches on the outside, the small bowl has 1. Here is an elegant mid century modern art glass pedestal bowl. The bowl is a purplish gray color (did Heisey make a color similar to this?? called Dawn??). The base has 6 thick clear glass drops forming a flower like ring with a central indent underneath. Smoke and ice. It's a beauty! It's 5.5" high x 5.75" diameter at the rim. The rim has a slight texture to it that you can feel. I've looked at it through a magnifier. It appears to be smoothed over an shiny so I believe that it occurred during the manufacturing process, perhaps where it was snipped off and firepolished. It looks fine, but I just wanted you to be aware of it since you can't see it in person. There are some enclosed air bubbles... one larger bubble in the base and a handful of tiny pin point bubbles in the bowl. It's in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Big beautiful Fenton Glass iced tea pitcher has an interior ribbed design and an applied ridged handle. It is blue gray in color and is signed on the underside. It holds 60 ounces... almost 2 quarts. When held to a bright light, I can see a partial horizontal stain line as if an acidic beverage sat in it too long... but it is very light and I don't see it when just sitting on my table. Wanted to mention it though since you can't see it in person and I don't think it will show up in the photos. 10-1/4" high. In very good condition with no chips, flakes or cracks.

This blue and white Holland bulb planter is filled with an incredible presentation of 12 purple and white glass beaded crocus flowers! It's wonderful! It's unique! There's a crocus growing out of each of the 6 side holes and 6 crocuses in the main planter. Imagine the hours it took someone to make this fantastic arrangement... and you don't have to water it!! Here are 2 hand blown art glass goblets with black, white, and gray concentric ring, bull's eye designs. They are, of course, similar but different, being handmade. Wonderful clear icy blue rooster egg cup was made by Imperial Glass. It is marked with the I superimposed over G mark that was first used in 1953. It looks great with the variety of blue intensities from the various thicknesses of the glass. Great looking Art Deco vanity lamp is ringed and ridged with little stepped feet which lets it float on table surface and makes convenient places for the cord to fit under. Pink fired on glaze (platonite) on the inside is alternately darker and lighter in horizontal rings giving even more dimension to the curves of glass. Vintage push button on/off switch. Great amoeba shaped glass shade for a ceiling fixture will look wonderful in a fifties modern interior! It's vintage, big and dramatic! 22-1/4" lengthwise and about 18" at the widest. Interior has a satin finish: eggshell white with light brown or warm gray soft speckles in center area and long pointed rays (triangles) at edges. Exterior is shiny. There are a few scratches but nothing breaks through the finish and so are not noticeable with the light shining through. Chips around center hole shouldn't show when washer and finial are used to mount it to your ceiling fixture. There is no washer and fastening screw with this shade but they available at places like Home Depot, etc. In very good condition.

Large vintage Victorian style milk glass planter is marked: 1187 NAPCO Cleveland, O. U.S.A. 7.25" high x 7.75" diameter at rim. Pedestaled foot. Wavy rim. Paneled sides are divided into 4 sections with diagonal backgrounds, central curlycue picture frames, and stands of ferns. It has been planted in and has some interior scratches. I've cleaned it fairly well but there might still be a few tiny spots of dirt line at rim... but I think it's in good vintage condition. Purchased from an estate sale.

Wonderful 1940's vintage nursery set for baby has 5 glass jars with fired on pink and blue animal motif pictures (cat, dog, and pig in a wagon being pulled by a donkey) and name of contents: Cotton, Boric, Oil and Nipples. Jars sit on a heavy glass tray. One side can be used as a tray; but if flipped over, the ridged base could also be useful for holding other items. Tray is 9-3/8" x 8-3/8". The remains of this unique and interesting table cart holds a wonderful rectangular divided satin glass dish-box-holder. The surface is covered Lalique style with raised bas relief flying birds with background of scalloped cloud pattern. The metal cart has lost the front wheels, handle has broken loose at one end and the plating is deteriorating, but I included it so you could see what it once was. The bird dish is lovely by itself, but it's fun to know it was part of a cart... for crackers? cigarettes? toast? The dish is 6.5" x 3.25" and 1-3/4" high. The glass is in very good condition. No marks that I can find.

Miniture creamer pitcher is orange, white, and yellow swirled agate slag glass with a repeated overall thumbprint pattern and scalloped rim and handle. The surface of the glass has a matt finish. It's 3.5" high. The previous owner apparently used it as a flower vase. There are a few spots of white calcium deposits from their water... in dips at rim and on outer top both sides near rim. I've been able to clean a lot of it off with no detriment to the glass. With a little persistance or some CLR you may be able to remove the rest. It's not too bad and may not show up in the photos... but I wanted you to know since you can't see it in person. Purchased from an estate sale.

Here is an elegant set of 8 cut glass drinking glasses. They all have the same pattern that looks a bit like mountains and sunbursts. Bases have a pinwheel or sunflower pattern. They don't feel sharp like cut glass usually does but you can see that they are all slightly different and have evidence of hand cutting so I believe they were polished after the cutting. I tapped each one with a knife and each one has a different ring to it, more evidence that they have been cut and are not pressed glass. They are all thicker and heavier at the base and get thinner as they go up. 3.75" high x 3" diameter at the rim. They hold 7 ounces. One has a miniscule, barely noticeable flea bite at the rim. All else is in excellent condition. Purchased from an estate sale.
