Picture2 Black 1 Quart 8" Serving Bowls Homer Laughlin

Here are 2 black Fiesta serving bowls. They each hold 1 quart... enough mashed potatoes for 6 :-) ...and measure 8-1/8" diameter x 2.5" high. One has a partially glazed over chip at bottom edge/foot a small portion of which has chipped off. They have light use/storage scratches but are in good condition otherwise.

This wonderful Art Deco style dinnerware by the Homer Laughlin China Company was reintroduced in 1986. We purchased them new that year from Bloomingdales... the only place in this area where they could be found at the time. The black and pink combination was fun to mix and match and great for our 1950's style decor.

Company advertising confirms that this newer generation of Fiesta dishes are made of fully vitrified (not porous, won't absorb liquids) china with lead-free glazes. They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe.

PictureToleware- 1940's Fiesta Red Toleware Tray Hand Painted Enamelware

1940's toleware tray is big and bright in some of the popular colors of the day. Fiesta red background is enamel on metal with hand painted ivory, yellow and green flowers, leaves and banded ring on rim. Silver and black paper label in the shape of an artist's palette & brushes remains affixed to the underside. It reads: Ransboro or Ransburg Genuine Hand Painted Indianapolis Made in U.S.A. 15.25" diameter x 1" high with rolled rim. It has been used and there are some scratches and dots of missing color... the ones in the ivory rim are more noticeable than the others. Underside has quite a few scratches as might be expected. A dime sized spot near wall has stained a darker red with a couple of rough spots of oxidation in the center. A good sturdy piece that will go well with Homer Laughlin's Fiesta, Harlequin & Riviera dishes as well as various California pottery dishes in similar colors such as Bauer, Metlox, etc.

PictureVintage Fiesta 8.5" Nappy Serving Bowl Yellow 1930's

Original yellow Fiesta serving bowl was called a nappy. It's 8.5" in diameter at the top rim and 2-3/4" high. No scratches in the interior, but there are a few short light ones on the outside probably from storage. One of the 3 stilt marks shows a larger chip off the glaze than the other 2 but that occured during the manufacturing. It's in very good condition.
