These great looking polka-dot earrings are yellow bakelite with multi-colored gum drop polka dots. They are yummy! Each dot shows a different color and/or style... marbled or solid. I bought them about 15 years ago from a man in New York who assembled them from vintage bracelet stock. The disc is 1-1/2" in diameter. The entire earring from top of golden ball is 2.5" long. They are on posts for pierced ears. The 2 dotted discs are similar but not exactly alike. A tiny pin head sized indent in the surface occurred during the casting of the bakelite. A short scratch connected to one of the top openings occurred during the drilling of the discs when they were manufactured back in the 1940's. These are mentioned for accuracy of description. The earrings have been well cared for and are in very good condtition.

Vintage screw back earrings are from the 1930's or 40's although they were imitating gold, coral and diamond jewelry in a style that harkens back to an earlier time. They are actually pressed brass, rhinestone, and some type of composite cameo. 1-1/8" long x 3/4" wide. Two top rhinestones have darkened on one earring. Here are 2 pairs of whimsical furry chenille-pipe cleaner bug earrings. Green grasshoppers or crickets are really fun with all those legs, antenna and jiggly eyes. These are 1-7/8" long made for pierced ears with posts and safety discs. Glue was or has turned a rusty brown color. In very good condition. The other pair is fun too... black and white striped furry bumblebees with gauzy wings and little wire legs. They're about an inch long and wired to gold color clips. Wonderful 1950's copper bracelet and matching earrings features raised comedy and tragedy theatre masks. Round background discs are accented with intentional darkening to show the sculptural quality of the faces. The bracelet is 7" long. The curved discs are 1-5/8" in diameter. The earrings are clips that measure 1.25" in diameter. The bracelet has an old label on the back that reads: Genuine Copper. The noses of 3 masks on the earrings look silver in color which I would normally think was wear to the plating but I'm surprised that there would be a copper plating over a silver metal. Can't explain that. They still look great though. There are just a few tiny spots of darkening from age or wear. These are in extremely good condition, much better than a lot of vintage copper jewelry. The surfaces are still nice and shiny. Purchased from an estate sale.

Here's a great looking set of copper artist made jewelry from the 1950's. Large rectangle has interesting repoussed diamond design enhanced by intentional darkened patina. 2-3/8" x 1.75". Here's a fun pair of dangling jointed lady earrings. They appear to be hand crafted or have a hand crafted look. From the back they look like brass, but only the legs have that color from the front. The body and head have been treated with a patina to make them look coppery. Curled copper wire is soldered on for the hair. Green gem on top of head is a glass bead on the silver ear wire. This golden circle pin features a large black fancy pressed glass "gem" that is enameled with gold lustre and red, white, and yellow diamonds. It's 1.5" in diameter. A pair of signed Berebi red enamel earrings are also included. The enameled piece is 1-11/16" long. Outrageous & flashy, this 1960's vintage necklace and earring set reminds me of some of Hattie Carnegie's kookie jewels. The big faux (not real) turquoise and pearl bead gems all dangle and jangle from a long shiny gold colored chain. Faux turquoise, pearls (and coral) were "in" in the sixties. The cratered pearly spheres are slightly over 1/2" in diameter. The elongated turquoise beads are 5/8" in diameter and 3/4" long. Necklace chain is 31" long. The central cluster of gems hangs down from that for another 3.5 inches. The earrings are 2" long not including the wire hook. I substituted ear wires for the original clips when I purchased them from an estate sale about 25 years ago. They're in excellent condition.

Here is a vintage goldtone and green palm tree pin and a somewhat newer pair of enameled earrings with the same theme. Vintage 1950's catalin ( bakelite ) earrings look like others I've had that were signed Weiss. These have no maker's marks so I can't tell you if they were made by Weiss or another company. Here is a vintage rhinestone bracelet with dangling screwback earrings that go well with it. The bracelet is 7" long and 3/4" wide. The earrings are 1-3/8" long. All rhinestones are prong set. Clasp and fasteners are all working just fine. There is some aging to the foil backs of a few of the of the baguette stones on the bracelet which has resulted in some clouding (not as clear as they were originally) but everything else is in good condition.
