This beautiful old Zuni Indian wide cuff bracelet has fancy sculpted edges, feather motifs at each end, 9 natural chunks of turquoise set in zig-zag toothed bezels interspersed with half dome spheres. It apears to be silver although it isn't marked as to metal content. It's signed in large script inside: Eugene Mahooty and I think it says Zuni below that. I bought it several years ago from a woman whose mother had a collection of Native American jewelry that she had purchased over the years. I really liked this piece which I kept for myself... but I've gradually been selling my treasures... a person just can't keep it all :-) The bracelet is 1.5" wide, 5 and 5/16" interior circumference with 1.75" opening. Here is a great looking 2 piece parure consisting of a matching necklace and bracelet. They are old store stock purchased from an old family run beauty parlor boutique liquidation sale. They are new, never used, never sold. The bracelet has the boutique tag with their price and inventory number. There are no tags on the necklace. The set was probably made by Napier as most of the jewelry from this sale had Napier tags. These do not have maker's marks or tags. They are gold color metal. This wonderful vintage bakelite bracelet is pierced with eye shaped cuts and carved with curved lines that enhance the cut-outs. It's appears to be chocolate brown when sitting on the table but when held to light, the thinner areas of incised eye shapes and bracelet edges appear somewhat translucent and look more reddish brown... root beer color. It's 1" wide, 2.5" inside diameter, and 7-15/16" inside circumference. There are only light signs of use... a few very light scratches as might be expected and 2 very tiny white marks on the surface that may be in the bakelite itself. I've looked at them with a magnifier and they seem to be a part of the bakelite. The bracelet is in very good condition. Purchased from an estate sale.

Wonderful 1950's copper bracelet and matching earrings features raised comedy and tragedy theatre masks. Round background discs are accented with intentional darkening to show the sculptural quality of the faces. The bracelet is 7" long. The curved discs are 1-5/8" in diameter. The earrings are clips that measure 1.25" in diameter. The bracelet has an old label on the back that reads: Genuine Copper. The noses of 3 masks on the earrings look silver in color which I would normally think was wear to the plating but I'm surprised that there would be a copper plating over a silver metal. Can't explain that. They still look great though. There are just a few tiny spots of darkening from age or wear. This great looking stretchy bracelet is made of alternating opaque red and white pressed glass chevrons in a style typical of Czechoslovakian jewelry during the 1930's-40's era. Each piece fits perfectly against the next one. They've been molded with a hollow underside capable of concealing the elastic cord and the knotted ends. 3/4" wide. Interior circumference is 5.75" and of course it stretches to accommodate a larger wrist than that. The elastic still has some zing but looks a little frazzled on one of the cords near the knot but could be easily re-strung. It's in very good condition. This wonderful luminescent pearly gray plastic set was made in the 1940's. These moonstone-like beads were called "DuPont pearls" :-) The beads are a graduated strand, knotted in-between each "pearl". The spring ring closure is silver, marked sterling. 18.75" long. The stretch bracelet is a double strand of graduated "pearls" with a wide double rigded curved piece. 3/4" wide. Interior circumference when unstretched is about 6-3/4". A little bit of elastic shows at where the beads join the large piece so they have lost some of their zing but are still stretchy. The knotted elastic ends are cleverly hidden in recessed openings in the large piece. If you needed to restring the bracelet, it would be very easy to do. In very good condition. I believe this wonderful artist crafted bracelet is made with dichroic glass. When looking at the bracelet sideways, it appears to be clear glass, organic in style with raised bumps and bands fused to the top center. The interior surface (skin side) is heavily textured. Just below the texture is a thin layer of color. When you look at the bracelet from various angles, it changes color. Predominantly blues, greens, and yellows... sometimes with a little pink or purple... it always looks different as you move it around. The color change as light hits from various angles is what makes dichroic glass what it is. It's possible that the artist used some other technique to get this effect and it isn't dichroic glass. I'm sorry I can't say for sure... but I purchased the bracelet at an estate sale about 8 years ago and there was no information with it. The opening is 1-1/16" so you need to measure your wrist at the side to see if you can get it on before you turn it. The interior circumference is 5.75". Measuring inside again... it's 2-1/16" side to side and 1.5" front to back (where the back would be if it were a complete oval). It's beautiful and it's in excellent condition!

Here are 3 wonderful luminescent pearly plastic jewels from the 1940's. There are 2 necklaces and a wide bangle bracelet. These moonstone-like beads have been referred to as "DuPont pearls" :-)

• Blue graduated single strand is 17" long. Clasp is a pinch stick that slides and locks inside the last bead. In very good condition.

Vintage 1950's Renoir copper bracelet features a continuous coil of copper wire accented with darkened patina under the coiled area. Inside is tinned. Stamp signed at open end on the outside: Handmade Renoir. The stamp has been over struck and there is an echo image. The coil is fastened at each end which mades it moveable. There are scratches and wear to the surface where the coil has rubbed back and forth on the cuff underneath. There is also some wear to the real shiny surface finish in some spots. 1-1/8" wide.
