Campbell's Soup Can AM Transistor Radio w Box VintageHere is a vintage figural AM transistor radio in the shape of a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup... one of Andy Warhol's pop art images... and the reason we purchased it... to display next to his signature watch with the same image which we have offered for sale in another of auctions this week. The radio looks almost new. It's real clean inside, takes a snap in 9V battery. We tested it but it does not work. We bought it from an estate sale in the original box which had a piece of gift paper glued over the top of the box with their price tag. I removed the paper to see the box in it's original condition but underneath found a one dollar price and a lot of scribbling on the top in black marker but the rest of it looks good. The radio looks great if you want it for display only or maybe you can figure out what is wrong and fix it.

Clock Stainless Steel Advertising Clock Machine Age VintageThis wonderful vintage wall clock is sleek and ultra modern... advertising for a new machine age product... stainless steel. The red, black, white, gray, and navy blue face reads: Stainless Sales Corporation New York - Chicago - Newark STAINLESS STEELS. Domed glass. 18" in diameter. Sides are 3.75" deep. Dome of glass is about 1.5" high. Structure of clock is mottled gray enamel on metal. Synchron works. Built by Lackner, Cinncinati, Ohio. Last patent on the clock mechanism is 2298373 (1942). The clock is in working order. It keeps good time and is quiet. There is no easy way to set the time. There's a little hole at the bottom right of the mechanism where there must have been a knob and gear to set the time but it is missing. You can turn that gear at the bottom right with your hand but it's difficult. The easiest thing is to wait until the time is the same as what the clock face says and plug it in. That's what we did. Inside under the glass has some dirt but it could be taken apart and cleaned by removing the outer ring. Purchased from an estate sale many years ago.

Cunard Clock in Carved Lucite Sagafjord Cruise Ship NAL Cunard Here is a clock inset into a large thick piece of lucite which is reverse carved with a sideview of the cruise ship Sagafjord. Metal plack on base edge reads: Memento of the 1995 Grand Pacific Circle World Cruise ofr Sagajord (I believe they have mis-spelled it as the correct spelling of this ship is Sagafjord.) The Sagafjord was a Norwegian American Lines Cruise ship that was sold to Cunard in 1983, who in turn sold it in 1996 to Transoceanic Tours who re-named her the Gripsholm. They in turn sold her to Saga Cruises who renamed her the Saga Rose. The clock is battery operated and has stopped working. It is an odd size battery that looks to be about half the length of an AA. If the battery is not to be found, the clocks pulls out of the opening easily and could be replaced or turned into a picture frame. The entire piece measures 6" high x 12" wide x 1.75" thick. It is in very good condition. Purchased from an estate sale.

Danskin Legs Lamp Store Dance Display Mannequin VintageThis unusual pair of dancing legs in stretchy red tights is both store display and lamp base, an advertising piece for Danskin, makers of dance apparel for women since the late 1800's. This is probably from the 1960's. I purchased it at an estate auction sometime in the 70's. Made of hard thick molded plastic. Securely bolted to a glass base. 21" to top of mannequin, 25" to top of lamp. The leotards are losing a little of the zing to their elastic waistband and the toes are a bit dirty but they can be taken off and washed. (I never have done that... just dusted it.) Edge of glass base looks as if it was mirrored at one time. Plastic has darkened slightly at top but basically it's in very good condition.
